New York-based photographer Stanley Greenberg explores the strange world of nuclear and particle physics, with 80 black-and-white images of the huge, imposing and intricate machines from around the world, including PHENIX, TRIUMF and ZEUS, which isolate and analyse the smallest particles in existence. The book includes Greenberg’s own notes on the machines’ functionality and experiments.
